MEDIA ADVISORY: Canadian Convenience Stores Association hosts State of the Industry event in Montréal

The Canadian Convenience Stores Association (CCSA) is pleased to announce the 2011 national State of the Industry (SOI) event will be held in Montréal, Quebec in conjunction with Le Salon Dépanneurs, épiceries & cie.

The CCSA has selected Fulcrum Media Inc. to produce the 2011 national and regional reports as well as the national SOI event.

“We believe the new event, Le Salon Dépanneurs, épiceries & cie, will be a great event to showcase our industry reports and national SOI event,” says Michel Gadbois, president of the Québec Convenience Stores Association (QCSA) and executive vice president of the CCSA. “With Fulcrum’s proven ability to bring industry stakeholders together, we expect the third annual SOI to be the most successful yet.”

“Le Salon Dépanneurs, épiceries & cie provides an excellent opportunity for Québec’s convenience and grocery leaders to talk with others in the industry from across Canada, discuss the challenges they face, and share solutions for those challenges,” he added.

About the CCSA: The Canadian Convenience Stores Association is a registered not-for-profit federal association funded by over 27,000 members across Canada. The association’s aim is to represent the collective economic interests of all players in the convenience sector and to provide a forum where members can address issues and discuss opportunities.

About the SOI: The Canadian Convenience Stores Association launched the first official State of the Industry event in Montréal in 2009. The event provided industry stakeholders with data, testimonials and analysis gathered from national and regional quarterly reports. A series of short presentations allow for the experts to present their data in an innovative format for all industry stakeholders. The 2011 event is scheduled for April 26.
